YORGO CONSTANTINE YFANTOPOULOS

USPTA Elite Professional

I started a career in tennis at the early age of 12. I was a Hitting Pro at the majestic Skytop Lodge (Skytop, PA) under the guidance of then Head Pro, my stepfather Likey Economy.

By the time I was 16 I moved back to New York City where I taught in former touring pro Randy Schneider’s New York Tennis League. It was an exceptional league which rotated among some of New York’s well known tennis facilities: The Mid-Town Tennis Club, The Wall Street Health and Racquet Club and The East River Tennis Club.

At 19 I was the Assistant Pro at a very special club that was the stomping ground of former World #1 and Grand Slam Champion Bobby Riggs. It was simply known as “The Roof”. Three clay courts on the top of a highrise on 38th street and 2nd avenue; ‘Nirvana above the chaos’.

Shortly after that I moved to Los Angeles where I earned my USPTA Pro 1 rating on my first testing, the highest tested rating possible on the USPTA certification exam.

Since then I have been helping beginning players to satellite pros improve and enjoy their tennis to the fullest.

I thank you for your time and look forward to seeing you on the court.
